This document applies to:

  • Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition
  • Access Gateway 4.5 Standard Edition
  • Access Gateway 4.6 Standard Edition

Download and copy your certificate files to your server

Download your SSL certificate and support files by clicking on the download link in your fulfillment email or from your GeoCerts SSL Manager account. Unzip the files and copy them into the directory where you will keep your certificates. Some files in the zip may or may not be used depending on your server type.

Requirements

At present, the Citrix Access Gateway release 4.5 has issues with intermediate certificates. You must upgrade the software of the appliance to Citrix Access Gateway at least release 4.5.1 to ensure that installing an intermediate certificate works on the appliance.

Upload Certificate to the Access Gateway Appliance

Your SSL Server Certificate requires the use of an Intermediate CA Certificate to work properly (two Intermediates for EV certs). The Citrix Access Gateway Appliance requires that you combine the your_domain_com.txt SSL server certificate with the GeoTrust intermediate(s) into a single file before uploading.

The certificate files should be stacked in this order:
your_domain_com.txt
GeoTrust_Intermediate.txt
GeoTrust_Intermediate_2.txt (EV certs only)

See: How to Upload an Intermediate Certificate to a Citrix Access Gateway Appliance

Verify Installation

New To verify if your certificate is installed correctly, use our Certificate Installation Checker.

Test your SSL certificate by using a browser to connect to your server. Use the https protocol directive. For example, if your SSL was issued to secure.mysite.com, enter https://secure.mysite.com into your browser.

Your browser's padlock icon Browser padlock will be displayed in the locked position if your certificate is installed correctly and the server is properly configured for SSL.
