Required Docs FAQ

Q: Do I have to fax all those items?

A: No, just what's relevant to your business or organization's legal entity type. For example, if your business is a corporation you should fax in your registered Articles of Incorporation.

Q: What's the fax number?

A: please fax your Proof-of-Organization docs to (858) 300-5306.

Q: Do I have to have a Dunn & Bradstreet number?

A: No, it's not required, but if you have one it can make the vetting process go faster.

Q: When should I fax my documentation?

A: You should fax your documentation after you have placed an online order and have an order ID. At the end of the online order process you will be presented with very specific instructions on what to fax and where.

Q: Do I have to fax my documents again for renewals?

A: In most cases no, you don't need to re-fax your documents for renewal orders unless something about your business or organization has changed since the last time you submitted your documents, such as an address or name change.

Q: My company has recently been vetted for another True BusinessID certificate, do I have to fax my documents again?

A: No. As long as the legal name of the company is exactly the same you don't need to send your docs in again.

Q: My WHOIS info has old info, how can I change it?

A: In most cases you can update your domain's WHOIS info by logging in to your account at your domain registrar.
