Browser recognition, or ubiquity, means that the GeoTrust root certificates are pre-installed on 99% of all browsers in use today, that's the industry's highest ubiquity rate.

GeoTrust owns the Equifax root. For example, to see the root certificates pre-installed in Microsoft Internet Explorer click on Tools, then select the Content tab. In the Certificates section click the Certificates button and then select the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab. You will see a list of all the trusted root certificates that are pre-installed, which includes several GeoTrust Equifax roots.
